Sunrise to Sunset

The Pistenbully snowcats packed with riders and media headed up the mountain at 4am ready for the first rays of sun at 6.30. The shoot begun as the darkness lifted and as the sun made a glorious return and the riders took full advantage of the incredible sunrise. The photos speak for themselves.

The afternoon saw a progression session basking in the sun, where skier Coline Ballet-Baz (FRA) styled it out with a cork 9 blunt to safety, a trick she has been working on throughout the week. Emma Dahlstöm (SWE) has been on fire all week and stomped her personal first switch 10, fingers crossed she show it in competition tomorrow.

On the snowboarding side saw a surprise appearance by Austria’s Anna Gasser fresh back from an injury.  She turned heads, going huge, oozing motivation to work on her backside tricks and stomping a sweet bs 900. Klaudia Medlova (SVK) landed her personal first frontside ten, but was not 100% happy with it…lets see if she will go for it  in the Big Air competition tomorrow Friday 18th of March.
